The Siege of Kaunas occurred in 1362 during the Lithuanian-Teutonic Wars. The Teutonic Knights laid siege to the strategic city of Kaunas, hoping to capture it from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Under Grand Duke Algirdas, the Lithuanian defenders successfully resisted the siege despite being outnumbered. This strengthened Algirdas' rule and prevented the Teutonic Order from expanding into Lithuania, consolidating Lithuanian power in the region. Historical recreation was based on historical research and discussions with scholars.
